@johnson_scottb Well, clearly it matters to you or you wouldn't be writing about it. And that's fine. But the majority of Alabama voters do not care. They actually held an election that verified their lack of interest.

@ScottButtram It won’t stop him from being elected, no. And that’s not my goal. But it does matter

@ScottButtram Not a factor, but it was Tuberville who claimed this exemption strengthened his residency case. These records indicate that’s not the case.

@asthegirlturns Lifelong conservative here, Jennifer, and, yes, I am aware of what the law is here. I believe what my reporting does show is that this homestead does not strengthen Tuberville’s residency case — he and others have claimed it does, not me

@TheAuburner @WarOnDumb Suzanne Tuberville was simultaneously listed on a homestead in Santa Rosa Beach Florida in 2018.— if she is included in the Auburn exemption, that’s a problem

@WarOnDumb I think the son lives in New York. Maybe it’s a way of gifting money to son without being taxed? Maybe they bought son a rental property and pay him generously to ‘live’ there themselves? How old is Ms. Tubs? Does her inclusion get rid of property taxes?

@appodlachia Single bathroom house. This means his 30yo+ adult son (who claims this as his primary residence) shares this with his mom and dad.

This officer identifies the threat within *2 seconds* Officer is drawing the pistol before the suspect even reaches the perimeter. Pistol is lined up on the suspect as they hit the perimeter. Within *9 seconds* the threat has already been communicated and we see other agents swarming in from other rooms. After roughly 15 seconds, the suspect appears to be detained. This was not a security failure at the WHCD. The system worked as intended and probably even a little bit better than you'd expect.

🚨 JUST IN: The DOJ has released HIGH QUALITY security camera footage of attempted Trump assassin Cole Allen SPRINTING through the security checkpoint at WHCA’s dinner This is NOT AI generated, like much of the footage posted this week Secret Service is adamant their agent was NOT struck by friendly fire, but was shot by Cole Allen with a 12-gauge shotgun.

@BrilynHollyhand The special session is for special primaries in anticipation for future redistricting. Don’t handle redistricting until after a court ruling

BREAKING: Democrats are now set to lose ALL of their U.S. House seats in Alabama now that Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey has called a special session on redistricting. Democrats can't be allowed to rig our elections any longer.

Here's the story from Claire, Alex and me on the special session starting Monday. The details are interesting. It's not actually a session for redistricting. It's for setting special election dates for AL-1 & AL-2 should the Supreme Court allow the the state to revert to the original 2023 map. Read more: aldailynews.com/gov-ivey-calls… #alpolitics

@QuinHillyer I believe the strategy is to replicate Louisiana’s approach with a 14th amendment claim. Per Alito, Steve Marshall’s office failed to make that argument in Allen.

@MobileGOP The court explicitly said Bama's Allen case still stands, Allen district court found as fact (wrongly, but found anyway) that Bama legislature had acted with racial intent in drawing its old districts. Therefore, Bama cannot go back to those old (2023) districts.

The #SCOTUS has entered the chat room. Drawing political lines on race is unconstitutional. Full stop. Time to immediately stop Alabama’s congressional races. We can’t have an election on unconstitutional drawn lines. The Supreme Court just said so. #alpolitics
