@buperac I bought 60 lb case, comes from harmony beef 🥩 at Balzac, AB. Works out to around $13 a lb way better value

$20/kg for Lean Ground Beef that is made from fresh and frozen parts. We are at the part of the story where they are taking low grade foreign frozen beef and mixing it with low grade local beef to create a low grade slop and charging a mint for it. Elbows Up!

@wilhelmbrent Neighbor had a retirement sale a couple weeks ago. For $5400 I got a tractor,loader and a hay sweep. I can load feed wagon in the morning. Stack hay in the afternoon. Disk the barrel pattern in the evening!

You dont need a $90,000 pickup and an $18,000 bale bed to feed cattle, just an 86 Chevy and a hand crank. @silagechopper

As Jocelyn and I have grown our pig business over multiple years we have entrusted faith and trust in many people to grow pigs for us in contract barns. We have always given the benefit of doubt when closeout numbers or mortality didn’t line up. Today we learned a lot

Watching some of the bull sales in western Canada Promoting high grading genetics and grade Then the offering today on TEAM looking at the calves backgrounded with REV G and Component G Literally taking the grade out of the calves Good genetics dont need a TBA implant

@silagechopper @Mothernurser I brought home a pair of piss colts that sale barn was going take out back and shoot they were only 4 months old one lived for 23 yrs and other 29 yrs they were on corn silage,distillers,high moisture corn,rumensin All the expert horse people say that diet will kill a horse.

@Mothernurser I loaded fat cattle with my daughter’s horse this morning. I’ve never really used him, but he was standing by the gate. He’s 18 this year and it kinda made me sad that his time of taking care of her is limited.

Time… sometimes if it could just slow down. The old man will be 22 this year. The mares made a simple job more, and he let me hop on. I won’t ever take for granted each stroll

@Shawridgefarm @islandviewag @CousineauAlbert Was building new plant in high river Alberta and 2 in south carolina when the 2008 housing Crash it broke him but he still owns a lot farm land and built large grain elevator and fertilizer plant. He's 82 now and still makes all the decisions

@islandviewag @CousineauAlbert That is the old Grant resort. Peter Grant who was owner of Grant Lumber started building that and never finished it. Ran into financial issues. Had multiple lumber plants across Canada and had significant farm land holdings in Northern Ontario.

Watched YouTube and found something they call Mansion Impossible. Some guy from Texas bought an abandoned mansion near New Liskeard and is doing a major reno on it. Looks like the house is gonna need a tonne of work. How long has it been empty? @CousineauAlbert
