FSD v14 Lite: @elonmusk & @aelluswamy, is there an update you can share on the progress of FSD v14 Lite for HW3 vehicles?

English

@Jeremy3292 @NotATeslaApp @elonmusk @aelluswamy I agree but doesn’t mean they can just abandon it they need to provide a free hw upgrade for those who subscribe
Personally I would be happy with supervised lite if they manage to pull it off
English

@johnswanlive @NotATeslaApp @elonmusk @aelluswamy Only those who outright purchased FSD on a HW3 vehicle would be eligible for a free hardware upgrade. That is a small pool of people.
English

@Jeremy3292 @NotATeslaApp @elonmusk @aelluswamy What do you mean there are millions of cars with HW3 on the streets
English

@NotATeslaApp @elonmusk @aelluswamy I personally just don’t see this happening at any large scale. They’ll delay it as long as they can when most HW3 owners have dumped their cars or FSD transferred to a new AI4/AI5 vehicle. There will be a few (rightfully) stubborn people who stick it out, but not many.
English

@S0M0G @TSLA_inside_ @elonmusk You have to pronounce it clearly
And it will start the nav immediately 😅. So ot if got it wrong, just ”No stop, I mean X in Y”
And it will try again. It will solve it and it quite smooth
English

@S0M0G @TSLA_inside_ @elonmusk 50/50 so far understanding some Swedish names besides that it’s solid
It does speak Swedish with weird accent and it will switch between Swedish and English on the fly by it self 😭
Maybe a setting or voice
English

I would kindly like to ask when the Netherlands and the rest of Europe that do not yet have Grok will receive it.

Tesla Europe, Middle East & Africa@teslaeurope
Grok speaks many languages 🇮🇹🇩🇪🇫🇷🇵🇹🇪🇸 It can answer your questions using real-time info, handle navigation (like adding stops or editing your route) & suggest points of interest nearby
English

@johnswanlive @TSLA_inside_ @elonmusk What? I got the 2026.8 update yesterday but no Grok. Also Sweden. We have a 2024 HW4 pre-Juniper Model Y. Is the car originally from Sweden? Or did you import it from another EU country?
English

@72_yang3387 @wholemars The difference?
You can put this on a bunch of cars on different brands around the world for just 999$
No approval, no regulations
Open source
FSD is still crickets for many parts of the world

Lmao Comma just dropped openpilot 0.11 "fully trained in learned simulation" and it's already shipping 💀
Simulation arc is cute and all, but Tesla's been doing real-world chaos at planetary scale for years and has unsupervised FSD fleets actually driving people around 😂
@elonmusk is out here speedrunning the entire autonomy game with Robotaxi expanding weekly and Optimus in the background. Legend 🔥 No competition!
If you're here for the real race (not just sim cope) and daily Tesla madness, follow — I spam the actual updates and it's lowkey way more fun 😭🚀
@elonmusk #Tesla #Optimus #TSLA
English

Comma has released openpilot 0.11, which is it says was trained fully in a learned simulation
It is shipping now for Comma owners
comma@comma_ai
Fellow e2e enjoyers, We've got something special for you today. Introducing openpilot 0.11: the first robotics agent fully trained in a learned simulation. Shipped to real users.

@johnswanlive @Genki_JPN Why does a 2026 game look like PS2 without $2k GPU or $1k console?
English

@TSLA_inside_ They made the FSD experience longer, right?
It could mean they want more people to experience it once it is available. They do the same in the US, right?
IE
Is a marketing activity "Tesla Ride"
English

@PSivir14 @Genki_JPN Not surprised..they want to sell expensive GPU!
English

@johnswanlive @Genki_JPN This is not how it looks for the average consumer. it is so obvious in the before images that they're using insanely low settings on the gameplay sections. I literally played this game a couple days ago I can tell you this shit is not what it looked like on my rig.

WHAT IF CHINA INVADES TAIWAN + Strait of Hormuz STAYS CLOSED🛑
Nobody is connecting these dots yet
Taiwan makes 90% of the world's most advanced chips. TSMC manufactures for EVERY major tech company on the planet. If those fabs go dark, this isn't a dip. This is a STRUCTURAL COLLAPSE.
Stocks that get DESTROYED 👇
Semiconductors. $TSM, $NVDA, $AMD, $AAPL, $QCOM, $AVGO, $ASML. Every single one depends on TSMC to make their chips. There is NO backup. Nvidia can't make GPUs. Apple can't make iPhones. AMD can't make processors. Full stop.
The AI boom DIES overnight. $MSFT, $AMZN, $GOOG, $META. Every data center buildout, every model training run, every hyperscaler capex plan depends on chips that ONLY TSMC can produce at scale. Their entire growth thesis is GONE.
Consumer and shipping. $DELL, $HPQ, Sony all lose their chip supply. The Taiwan Strait carries 50% of global container shipping. $ZIM, $FDX, $UPS all get crushed by the blockade.
NOW here's where it gets interesting
Stocks that BENEFIT 👇
Defense. $LMT, $RTX, $NOC, $GD, $LHX, $PLTR. Spending goes VERTICAL overnight.
Domestic chips. $INTC becomes the most important company in America as the ONLY Western advanced fab. $GFS, $AMAT, $LRCX, $KLAC all surge as we scramble to build domestic capacity.
Safe havens. $XOM, $CVX on the oil spike. $GLD, $SLV on the flight to safety. $AA on the aluminum supply chain chaos.
THE PART NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT
Taiwan doesn't just make chips for tech. They produce 35% of ALL chips globally. Cars. Medical devices. Military equipment. Appliances. A Taiwan invasion doesn't crash the stock market. It crashes the GLOBAL ECONOMY.
This is not a prediction. But if you're not thinking about this risk while the Strait of Hormuz is ALREADY shut down and semiconductors are ALREADY under pressure from helium shortages, you're not paying attention.
English

@johnswanlive We're still a little ways away from bringing nav back. Gotta ship great e2e longitudinal first!
English

@Rewkang Yes but is a closed world with set rules
Not so different from this 10 years ago

Impressive yes but hopefully it takes a while before is ”5h of trench warfare”

@wholemars Dont ask customer what they want
Ask what they need to deliver / accomplish
English

@seanboisselle @TechLayoffLover Doesn’t matter, ship has already sailed and they will solve it without looking back

@TechLayoffLover When the inexperienced contractors encounter a novel problem outside the training set domain, the company will find out.

Atlassian just confirmed 1,600 layoffs with 900+ coming from engineering
But I'm hearing the real story from inside
Sources say they've been running "knowledge extraction sprints" for 6 months - recording every senior engineer's screen, logging their prompts, documenting their debugging workflows
One architect told me they made him walk through his entire microservices decision tree while they filmed it. Called it "knowledge transfer for the transition team"
The transition team? 47 contractors in Bangalore with access to his recorded sessions and a Claude Enterprise subscription
Same architect just found out his replacement starts Monday. Guy makes $28k annually and ships code 40% faster using the exact prompt libraries they extracted
They're not just cutting headcount - they're systematizing 15 years of engineering expertise into training data
The "strategic AI focus" isn't about building AI products
It's about replacing their entire engineering culture with agents trained on their senior engineers' knowledge
Word is the CTO replacement already has the playbook: extract, document, offshore, automate
If you're still there and they ask you to "document your processes for the team" - RUN
The knowledge extraction is complete
