@DHBurch13 So, your denomination won’t ordain you and your job is to shepherd the congregation to which your denomination assigned you through disaffiliation from the denomination. I respect your institutional commitment, but there may be more life giving ways for you to proclaim the gospel

My appointment’s formal Disaffiliation from UMC vote is this evening. I’m a weird combination of nauseous, disgusted, sad, and pissed. I didn’t sign up for this.

I admit I am torn and the bounds of my social relationships are being tested. I suspect, if it stays public, I'll stay, but if it goes private and/or payment comes into play, I'm Audi. There is no way in hell I'm putting $$$ directly into his pockets. What are you thinking?
