@Armbruster_D I don't like when players wear shoes or other gear that isn't the team colors. Bo Bichette wore green arm bands on the Jays, Vladdy wore pink stuff all year. Basketball players wear off team color shoes. Why are they all trying so hard to stand out?

What’s your “old school” sports take? I really dislike the basketball jersey numbers that don’t use just digits 0 through 5.

Went to a sports bar today to watch the tournament. We'd been there before, good food, good beer. Walked in and they had zero tournament games on. "Working on it." After one beer they still had zero games on. Mostly baseball and football re-runs on the TVs...a few TVs with a tournament app on, but "free trial expired.". Obviously, we left. I still don't actually understand any of it. How do you own a "sports bar" and not plan on having all the games on all day on one of the most important sports days of the year?

@Stevecoady416 @ravira @3DownNation The plan is to build a new grandstand on the east side. But I don't know how it'd all work. I'll need to see some more designs. Feels like they should build a stand alone stadium where the dome is now. It's planned to be an outdoor concert venue anyways

@3DownNation @ravira This would be absolutely terrible for the Stamps and the CFL. Literally every other CFL city has built a new stadium or vastly renovated their current ones, except Calgary. I mean…wtf?

NEW: The Calgary Stampede has unveiled its 20 year master plan. The plan includes 7 distinct zones across the park, a new live events space on the site of the Saddledome, and replacements for the Big Four Building and Agriculture Building.

Rams have added the most value through the draft since 2017 and they've done it with only ONE first round draft pick

Always little brother syndrome in Calgary. Instead of cherishing winning the right to co-host, much of the reaction has been a state of mourning. You don't see this level of hate and insecurity in the 780. Transcends sport. It's quite sad, actually.

@eliasmakos That's a lot of major sports arenas period in the US though no? I'm not trying to take the piss...MLB you got NYC and Toronto with stadiums direct subway access. I can't think of another. PNC,Comerica and Oracle park it's drive or a bus. Those are the ones I've been to

Went to WBC in 2023. Getting to the stadium every night was terrible, and leaving after the game was a complete debacle. Public transit non existent, we would walk for half an hour, hoping we’d find an Uber. This year, we rented an Airbnb within 10-minute walk of stadium to avoid the nightmare. But we are amazed at all the cars just sitting in traffic for an hour trying to leave the area. If I lived in Miami, there is zero chance I’d put myself through that during the summer. Beautiful stadium with zero thought to how people can access the site.

This Maxx Crosby situation is crazy. There are massive ripple effects from it. The Raiders’ free agency approach changed when they traded him. Other teams who wanted Crosby pivoted as well. The draft picks involved. And now, the future of Crosby is the biggest question in the NFL.

The Rams came into the offseason with a cornerback problem. Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson have fixed that problem.
