Guardiola made it clear yesterday that John Stones is likely leaving Man City in the summer
Stones has started 22 of a possible 96 Premier League matches since Akanji compared him to Maradona the night City completed the Treble
Best defender of Guardiola's era for me, sad end
One Final Post today is to thank each and every fan, player, volunteer for your support this season at our home games.
This season has definitely seen better atmospheres and more people coming to support.
We have one more game to go and then a Summer of recharging the batteries.
Then we come back. Bigger and Better.
We hope you come back to support us next season, maybe even as a season ticket holder 🤔 (details to come over the summer)
We can’t wait to welcome you back next season!
Thank you

On Sunday our first team were in action at the fantastic Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park Steel City Stadium. We are very fortunate to call this home, as our home town of Barnsley has nowhere that can offer us a venue. For 8 years we have tried tirelessly to solve this problem, but unfortunately all the venues are owned by well established teams. Again we have tried to talk to the Council, but again our pleas fell on deaf ears.
Despite this we are happy to announce that our average home support is higher than it has ever been and we are seeing more familiar faces and more Mascots every week.
None of this would be possible without the support of our fantastic Sponsors. Without these great companies, organisations and individuals we could not survive at this level of Women's Football. Some teams in our Tier have budgets in excess of £250,000 so keeping pace and being able to represent our town is tough.
I would like to thank OB1 BECSCO LIMITED (Scott Padgett) GLOBE HOLIDAYS FSOA Football Safety Officers Association Broderick's Capelli Sport Everlast Gyms and @Camera-Pan to name but a few. Thank you to John Rutherford from FSOA who presented the Player of the Match award to Amber Sewell and for presenting a commemorative shirt to Jodie Snelson who played her 100th game for the club.
@BFCDrinkers Basically gonna blame this result on the red card and a dodgy penalty claim. Missing the obvious point that our captain has three times given Cardiff an assist.
After match interview.
Should be: Conor, can you explain your thinking bringing LC straight in and so moved many out of position after good games?
What we will get: second yellow blah top of league blah penalty claim blah bounce back Saturday blah. Cringe.
@BarnsleyFC We really are shit. Probably the worst standard of football I've seen in my 50 years of watching them. If DKD and Cleary go this window we will go down.
@dougokane88 Its a bit of a poor comment regarding lack of opportunities for Barnsley born players when Barnsley Women are doing so well. There's a link here if anyone else is struggling to find them.

"I remember 3 or 4 years ago I was in Barnsley at the Metrodome struggling with dartitis and crying at a table" - Van Veen.
Tarn will do that to you lad!
