@RFCNUFC23 My thoughts exactly. If it were Naderi, Chermiti and the 2 Stewart’s I’d be happy with that. If we could get Kyzaridis or Just then I’d be pleased with that too.

@RFCNUFC23 Again, I wouldn’t take this as fact as I’m not 100%, but I could swear he’s played over 30 games this season which would suggest he’s not one for the scrap heap and a senior pro. Not even as first choice as I think Chermiti has made that his own going forward.

@johnwithanoh I have worries over Ross Stewart’s injury record but he’s a good player I would be all over Barney he’s a real talent 100% though clubs like Falkirk and Killie would be great clubs for our young lads to develop

@RFCNUFC23 Forgive the list I’m about to give you, as it will seem lengthy but it’s exactly what you say in regards to recruiting the right people and assuming the numbers are correct for certain players.

@RFCNUFC23 It’s a valid point to give him a chance if that was the only issue being what he inherited. He won’t get a free ride by any means but it’s now all eyes on Cavenagh.

@johnwithanoh They’ve stuck with Rohl because of what he inherited and I have no doubt they’ll have said to him fine we’ll back you but if this doesn’t go as we expected your out just as fast Unless this goes well it will rightly be time to put pressure on the ownership

@RFCNUFC23 The kind of qualities we require go beyond that and as such you pay over the odds. I don’t have any reason or understanding as to what they’re seeing with Rohl to convince them he would be the man to see such a turnaround. So attention now turns to them should it go wrong.

@ibroxrocks @Mr_Blu_Dug Assuming that’s the case I could count 17/18 players that will go and likely need replacements coming in. So you look at somewhere in the guts of 30/40 player turnover. Some of those are sellable assets due to finishing 3rd and the funds will need to come from somewhere

It was put to Andrew Cavenagh that we’re fed up of the cycle of manager failing, being kept on, bad start, sacked. He said he understands that but ‘it can’t always just be down to the manager. We need to look at the underlying reasons it keeps happening to break the cycle’.

@jonnyrmcfarlane It was the same lip service paid when it came to getting it right after the tenure of Martin. It’s the same cliche talk of coming close to winning the league he mentioned. We lost 4/5 final games. In what world is that close? None of those traits, are ones Rohl possesses.

Cavenagh showing here he understands what’s needed. Rangers fans will ask if the manager has displayed these attributes. It’s a big call by the chairman and he will be judged as a leader on the results of his decision-making. rangersreview.co.uk/features/26113…

@AMcKellar89 The biggest problem with the soundbites that you mention is a hell of a claim to make on their part. They’ve mismanaged almost every big decision there has been to make & I see this being no different. Steel & leadership are not qualities they possess themselves, least not seen.

If nothing else it is decisive & clear from the ownership. Basically it’s an early shout of “get on board with it because it’s happening” to the fans. Question marks remain over Rohl given the collapse but one thing the club absolutely must improve on regardless is the player recruitment. We need a clear vision of what a Rangers team looks like, because it’s miles away from what their first appointment, Martin, was trying to serve up. Soundbites on steel, leadership are good. But let’s see what they look like on the pitch, not on paper.

@ibroxrocks No denying that but if the players who are being asked to ‘pull it on’ no longer trust in the coach/manager, the result is almost never positive.

@hernanfpacheco The man has no leadership qualities whatsoever. It would require a full overhaul in those who no longer side with the manager, who will be replaced with players who do. I don’t believe I have seen a team turn over 40 players (20 in/20 out) and win honours.

Do you think that if you fill this team with new players, Rohl will achieve a level of performance that his own system can't find and is failing at? I'm not stubborn, but you have to allow me to be skeptical. Unfortunately, our fanbase is fed up with all these failed experiments

@ibroxrocks He best remember that, when he has to let him go 10 games in. He can’t pay the same lip service and expect the support to be as understanding, when he has to say he was wrong again.

If he genuinely believes these words then not only is leadership the biggest problem we have. Ownership is just as bad and how do you fix that? The answer certainly isn’t blindly throwing money to improve a dressing room the manager has lost.

@SeannHamiltonn @CF3Loyal Just a follow on from Todd Cantwell, only not as good. Give them time on the ball they both look unbelievable footballers but that’s not how it goes up here.

@RFCNUFC23 He’s absolutely coming into his own now. Seeing the potential come to fruition. He now needs to put it together in longer consistent spells than shorter, once that happens it a long line of suitors for him.

Another meaningless game on the final day for us. The only positive is it may be the final final for Rohl. Fingers crossed Hearts get the job done today, best team all year and with the help of nobody. It would certainly be horrible if they were to lose it in those circumstances

@ruaraidh1985 Butland and Clement didn’t particularly see eye to eye if I remember correctly. Likewise Raskin at times. Ferguson dropped Butland and McCann saying how Raskin is a challenge to manage. Martin - let’s not go there Rohl - seems to go hot & cold with players. Some of those above

I agree with this. But Tav is the only one still here from about 3 years ago. Doesn't seem to matter which set of players and manager we have, they down tools and fallout at the slightest thing. Seems like too much player power, with weak managers. Not a good combo,
Aye Ready Podcast@AyeReadyPod

On the back of this Tav situation, its been suggested that Rohl has lost the dressing room. That has happened with the last number of managers. To me, given that it keeps happening with different managers, it suggests there are bad eggs in the dressing room undermining managers

@hernanfpacheco Whether or not Tavernier will be looked upon favourably in time as a Rangers player/captain, all of us will have our own reasons for choosing how he’s seen. As a person who has given 11 years to this football club or any other there will be a fondness he will always have.

@johnwithanoh I've learned a lot, which is why I emphasized that. If Rohl is not yet immersed in the customs and traditions, he should have sought advice, but this is simply common sense; a guy who spent 11 years, 8 of which he was a skipper, should have had a more dignified farewell

As I said yesterday, the whole situation was poorly handled, overexposed, and I see here that there are divisions of opinion, as with everything. I won't argue with that. But this peculiar event will hang like a sword of Damocles over Rohl sooner or later.
