At just 14 years and 213 days old, Zach Hitchen scored on his U18 Premier League debut today - making him the youngest ever player to score for Leeds United U18s.😯⚽️ This goal came in the first half of a 2-1 win over Middlesbrough U18s.✅ The young winger is a current England U15 international and has spent the majority of the season playing up an age group with Leeds United U16s.✨ Zach Hitchen - remember the name.👀⏳

🐎 Be interesting to see how they chalk up the Sam Thomas pair who bookend the card at Carlisle on Sunday. The Rocking man who was a really good winner for us on seasonal debut at Chepstow after a lengthy lay off, and Just For Dad who was pitched straight into the inaugural running of Ascots December listed bumper, finishing back in 8th behind Bass Hunter, who was an excellent 3rd in the Champion Bumper at the festival.

🐎 Never got round to posting earlier on and the ship has sailed in terms of price which isn’t like me but been flat to the boards lately. Anyway, ultra competitive Handicap on the card in the 13:50 at Newbury tomorrow. Thrown a couple of darts at Grand Vendetta & a horse that was put up as one follow at the start of the season and flagged up as a bet on his first 2 victories at the start of the season, but is on a bit of a recovery mission, Fresh Perspective. 4’s and 5’s still available for the pair. The ground is a concern for both admittedly but both are nice horses going forward beyond tomorrow.

🐎 Reverting back to the jumping , one for probably next season now, Modern Man, last seen at the start of December, getting off the mark at Chepstow, hasn’t been seen since, was behind Kingston Queen and Kripticjim on hurdling debut. One can only thing he’s suffered a setback but he’s one to pop into the 📒

🐎 Nobody Knows who still looks a very raw individual, wins well after a tardy start on his second racecourse outing and looks a horse with promise going forward. The green 🌱 of form lines already starting to take effect at this early stage of the new season. Nobody Knows won on debut at Ayr and had subsequent Horris Hill second Arabian Desert back in 5th that day with Valenday 📒 a place behind Arabian Desert at York next time out.

🐎 Valenday is another 3 year old i’d like to highlight for the forthcoming flat season. He’s been exceptionally green on both his starts to date, most notably when 3rd behind Morshdi and Arabian Desert on his latest outing. Arabian Desert has since finished second in the Horris Hill at Newbury in group 3 company. One would think and hope Valenday has matured and strengthened up over the winter. Another for the 📒.

Going into the new flat season, I think the front 3 from the Novice race below are decent animals, and all worthy of popping into the notebook for the forthcoming campaign. The eye catcher here is most definitely Spaceman, a 3 year old cold by Starman. With a winter on his back and natural progression he should be winning this spring. Cape Ashizuri has been gelded and will hopefully fulfill the promise he showed on debut at Ayr last July. The well bred Saber Strike knew his job on debut and ran out an impressive winner and he is also worth keeping an eye on this summer.

The well-bred Saber Strike (Night Of Thunder) cost plenty as a yearling and makes a lovely start for @Rossaryan15, @WilliamHaggas and Victorious Forever @Redcarracing

🐎 With the new flat season rapidly upon us, I’ll be flagging up plenty of horses to follow for the new campaign. A notebook 📒 horse from last season that I’m looking forward to is Bay Of Brillance, winning here at Goodwood on his second career start, I’d be expecting to see him upped into listed company this season.
