@markgoldbridge He has proven to be the man for the job. You have hired other great managers before, but they failed to deliver at United. This guy was able to use the same squad and deliver results in no time. Even if you interview other managers, Carrick should be No1 contender for that job

These Carrick getting the job rumours are ridiculous. It's a HUGE risk giving it an interim anyway. But to give it to him without even bothering to interview others is a disgrace by the board. Best in class? Exactly what they did with Ole. Nothing ever changes do the same thing

🚨🔵 Chelsea have been handed a £10.7m fine for breaching Premier League rules related to financial reporting, third-party investment and youth development during the Roman Abramovich era. The club have also received an immediate 9-month academy transfer ban, plus a 1-year first-team transfer ban (suspended for two years).

The Independent Panel concluded a fine was warranted of at least £20m, but it was then reduced by 50% due to mitigating factors, including "exceptional cooperation" by Clearlake-Boehly. It is still the largest ever fine imposed by the Premier League. Five other deals formed part of the investigation but are redacted in the published report.

Lemme explain this sanction to you like a 5yrs old kid. Penalty in plain English: - Pay £10.75m fine (about $13.7m). - Youth academy can't sign new players for 9 months. - Senior team has a 1-year transfer ban, but it's frozen/suspended for 2 years—if Chelsea stays clean, it never happens; if they slip again soon, it activates. Basically a fine + short youth block, with a warning for the big team.
