It looks like another lovely warm, dry, sunny weekend ahead, so we're asking everyone please: Do not light fires and no BBQs. Keep ewes, lambs and ground nesting birds safe by keeping dogs on a lead. Take your litter home. Have a great weekend.

From 12-14 May access restrictions to Corn Du will be in effect for essential erosion control works. A diversion on the Storey Arms trail will also be in effect (this will re-route walkers along the Corn Du contour path up to Bwlch Duwynt). The Pen y Fan summit will remain open.

Have you seen a Curlew? Let the @curlewconnectionswales team know by emailing curlew@beacons-npa.gov.uk – every record helps! Now is a vital time for recording Curlew. The more we collect, the better we can understand and protect their population here in Bannau Brycheiniog.

Making the most of the weekend? Do your bit this weekend to keep Wales safe. Dispose of cigarettes safely. Only use BBQs where it’s clearly allowed. Never light fires in public spaces. Wildfires can spread fast, threatening lives, nature, and homes. A little care goes a long way

Please take extra care when out and about this Easter. We have had a number of big fires over the last few days.

As we enter peak lambing season, it’s more important than ever to keep your dogs on a lead when out exploring the countryside.

The public footpath to Sgwd yr Eira Waterfall will be closed on the 4th February. The full closure is needed for public safety while cliff inspections and descaling works above the footpath are carried out. Unfortunately there is no alternative route to use.
