@betangel Once upon a time that final was an unmissable event along with the F.A Cup but now both are tainted by money, and cheating at any cost to get a result. When I saw the result was 1-0 I was so glad I did not waste another 90 minutes plus watching dogshit football.
Dear Middlesbrough, let's face it, you didn't deserve to go up. No wins and one goal in three games. Some nipper spying on you from half a mile away with an iPhone made absolutely no difference.
Europe was there for the taking. Instead of grasping the chance over the past 6 weeks, Moyes has delivered the same old risk averse football we have watched for almost 15 years. Top managers evolve…he will never change. #EFC
@VK1878@Dogan1878 Price increases are annoying but I’m more disappointed about having a manager who constantly forfeits important games. I never thought I’d say this but I’m so so grateful he wasn’t in charge for the Palace / Bournemouth games or we’d have been toast.
At home you are expected to make things happen. The pitch opens, you have space to defend, often are isolated against opponents.
The reason they have drawn or lost 14/19 home games they cannot handle this.
The defence must be replaced.
Huge chance missed for EFC last few weeks. But frankly not ready & not good enough for Europe really. Avoiding danger was the no1 aim this season. But everyone - manager, players, owners - needs to take a long hard look at themselves this summer & make sure lessons are learned.
Shitbags absolutely terrified of progression. Had it in our hands after the Chelsea game and they’ve been on the beach ever since. If we’re serious about where we wanna go then a big chunk of this squad needs leaving behind
@Fitzpap86@Iancroll1 He’s been bad recently but it was like playing with ten men today. Two goals in twenty games. I think we are possibly seeing why Marseilles let time go so easily.
Shambolic from Everton. Completely substandard. Easily the worst performance & result of the season from a dysfunctional, toothless side. Flat from the off — no intensity, no fight, no quality. Players nowhere near it & the manager way off it. 3-1 to Sunderland is indefensible.
@stekellyefc Agreed mate but what can you do. I’m a “stayer” but I completely understand why people would leave. Dreadful season at home and last five games generally. ☹️
On the Merlin Rohl penalty claim.
Most of the holding by Bernardo Silva took place before the ball was in play, so that cannot be a penalty.
The holding that took place once the ball was in play was deemed not to be an offence.
File under extremely fortunate. #EVEMCI
@jonahjonesefc@DaleJohnsonBBC The challenge by Jones was never a penalty and it has rightly not been viewed as either an onfield error or VAR error by the panel.
@grassrootsrefJa@DaleJohnsonBBC The Curtis Jones challenge on Dewsbury-Hall which is the least likely of the two and the Fernandes handball at West Ham last week.
@grassrootsrefJa@DaleJohnsonBBC That’s your interpretation. Neither of us know what he really means. Pointless now obviously. Just frustrating when I see the decisions that constantly go against us and then you see the Bournemouth penalty yesterday followed by the Sesko “inconclusive” handball.
@jonahjonesefc@DaleJohnsonBBC They are humans and they make mistakes. I've not seen a replay that shows the full incident and the moment the ball is in play so I can't say for sure but from what Dale has said the vast majority of the holding was before the ball and then the ball was in play it was minimal
@grassrootsrefJa@DaleJohnsonBBC Would have been easier for them if they had a screen to watch countless replays and unlimited time to reach the correct decision. 🙄 Anyway, back to the original topic - should Everton have had a penalty?
@jonahjonesefc@DaleJohnsonBBC That was a wrong decision by the referee on Thursday and I don't think you'll find many people who will say a yellow card was correct
