Excited that my avatar's 1-day training journey is finally online. backflip was a potentially unwatchable experiment and took 3 years to make. Honored that it screened and spoke to audiences at so many festivals. Still scared of backflip & AI. This film is my therapy. 🔗below

Got to work with the great folks at @ordinaryfolkco. Since we do daily round feedback, why not share my daily progress? Compare the way she jumps in the 1st day V.S. the 7th day. As you can see, they are quite different.

After 8+ years I’ve decided to leave agency life and go freelance to focus on the craft. This means, I’ll crawl out of the Google slides cave and get back to creating. Do you want to challenge UX patterns, make eye pleasing UI and push the limits of the web? Let’s connect!

@pvonborries I've always been using the speed graph, mostly because I've needed to animate constant movement along a path. Other than that, I guess I've always managed to use the speed curve to solve stuff (by sometimes brute forcing it, though the value graph probably would be better lol)

I feel the rivalry between Speed Graph vs. Value Graph is as old as After Effects. What's your perspective?
Philip von Borries@pvonborries

@mamoworld @pg_motion @aescripts Here I animated a circle entering and exiting the frame at max speed and slowing down in the middle without ever coming to a stop + as a stretch. That's 6 keys in total with the value graph (I'll show the graphs in a sec). Then I attempted the same in the speed editor. No dice!

Waited all year for these Macbooks. Instant buy. Ever since I went freelance I noticed that the iMac needlessly chained me to my desk. I'm looking forward to being more mobile and being able to visit my family in Germany more often and for longer. Anyone else?

@pvonborries Of course there might be some spec differences, but for the type of work I’m doing, it’s been perfectly capable. I just like the feeling of being flexible (have animated on my couch), but also in case of a studio asking me to be in-house for a booking (not too common, but still).

@pvonborries Can’t speak to the transition from iMac to MBP, but I have been working only on my MBP since I went freelance. It’s been working perfectly for me, and since I mostly have it hooked up to my Cintiq Pro 24”, I reckon it’s the same experience as an iMac. The freedom is awesome.

Has anyone here experience with switching from an iMac to a Macbook? Love the idea of not being tied to my desk at all times. Is it possible/worth it?
