I took Anthony Edwards and VJ Edgecombe for assists and rebounds because both matchups create environments where their all-around production expands naturally. Anthony Edwards vs OKC OKC’s defense is aggressive at the point of attack and constantly sends help when elite scorers get downhill. That forces the ball out of Edwards’ hands early, which turns him into the primary decision maker. When Ant drives and the Thunder collapse, the kick-outs and dump-offs are there all night, pushing his assist chances higher. That same defensive pressure also produces long rebounds from forced jumpers and late-clock shots. Edwards plays heavy minutes and attacks the glass in transition, so in games where the pace is high and possessions are chaotic, the rebound floor rises quickly. When he’s initiating offense and playing 35+ minutes, the 5 assists + 5 rebounds combo becomes very realistic. VJ Edgecombe vs Portland Portland plays a loose defensive style that allows guards to operate in space. That environment lets Edgecombe control possessions as the primary handler, especially in a game expected to stay competitive. With the ball in his hands that much, the passing lanes naturally open as defenses collapse on his drives. Portland also generates a lot of long rebounds because of their perimeter-heavy shot profile. Guards and wings end up cleaning those boards more than the bigs. Edgecombe plays with high activity and attacks loose rebounds, so when the game opens up and pace increases, both his assist opportunities and rebounding chances climb together. When the minutes, role, and game environment align like this, these stat combos stop being longshots and start becoming realistic outcomes. DISCORD FREE ⬇️⬇️ discord.gg/wWcxpWXmd
