Let’s clear this up properly because a lot of people are getting it wrong. You do NOT need a TV licence just to watch YouTube. You ONLY need one if you’re watching “live TV content” regardless of the platform. That means: Watching a live TV channel on YouTube = licence required Watching normal YouTube videos = no licence needed The rule isn’t about YouTube. It’s about “live broadcasts”. This has been the case for years — it’s just more noticeable now because more TV content is being streamed online. If anything, this shows how the system is trying to keep up with how people watch content today.

@DeanJamesAFC Also be interested in number of actual set piece goals rather than second phase i.e. Corner cleared and then scored aka Zubas goal early in the season. Does it also work the other way, if taking a corner, other team breaks and scores does that count as conceeding from a corner

Arsenal have scored 106 goals this season in all competitions. Less than 30% of those goals, were from “set pieces” 52% of the set piece goals (15% of the 106) have been from corners. This means that SEVENTY ONE PERCENT (71%) of Arsenal’s 106 goals have been from open play. Yet apparently we’ve been reliant on corners this season… Agenda gonna agend I guess 🤷🏼‍♂️

@Citizen_baker Many sports don't have away ends and fans mix together, some even allow drinking in the stands. If you were in a pub sitting next to some Madrid fans, would you ask the land lord to kick them out?

Another champions league night with opposition fans in the home end, had an altercation with one as he stood up celebrating when Madrid scored the penalty, he then tried to get the stewards to kick me out but where I sit there’s lots of regulars who spoke to the stewards and they saw sense and kicked out the two Real Madrid fans. We shouldn’t have to put up with this happening and it’s getting worse.

🚨Jeremy Clarkson has criticized Starmer’s position on the conflict in Iran: In his latest column, titled "Keir is Bit Two Stupid", Mr Clarkson mused: "If you are fortunate enough to be a two-car family, then you will know that you should never book your car, and your wife's car, in for a service on the same day. Because then you'd have no car. "Sadly, it seems Sir Starmer doesn't understand this simple concept," he mocked. Mr Clarkson then criticised Mr Starmer's position on the conflict. "He's making all sorts of anti-war noises at the moment, saying that Britain wants no part of the campaign in Iran," he penned. "But the truth of the matter is that he can’t get involved. Because both of our aircraft carriers are currently being serviced. "The Queen Elizabeth is in a dock in Rosyth being refitted, and the Prince of Wales is in Portsmouth, having maintenance work done. "So well done, Starmer," Mr Clarkson sarcastically put in The Sun. "We paid a fortune to have those carriers built, and when we actually need them, they’re both at the menders." "And all we've been able to supply is a boat which should be on station in a week or two, providing none of the oars break," he dryly signed off.

The commentators saying that the “Spurs players need the fans right now” is such an insult To be fair to Spurs fans, they turn up every single week and have to endure that complete and utter wank football On a football level, I don’t care for Spurs but I know exactly how their fans feel - like so many other fans, they’ve been let down.

@greengirlbella_ if you watched enough of Spurs, you'd understand that he is massively overhyped and over-rated. Great athlete, has the odd highlight reel run but is a very, very poor defender

Taking all delays into account, Arsenal spent an average of 31.4 seconds to get the ball back into play from corners, goal kicks, throws and free-kicks last night vs Brighton. There have been 195 instances of a team taking longer than this in a Premier League match in 2025-26.

@BayernSpace I'd use the same ranking system they use in the NFL Post-Season. Top ranked team always plays lowest and so on, till only two left.

@Rory_Talks_Ball A small factor but not a big one for 2024 -> 2025. It’s the only red flag in the accounts but it’s definitely red.

Arsenal 2024/25 accounts published today. They’re good results and the headline numbers correspond with what the Deloitte Money League Report published last month. However, there were a couple of surprises that hit cashflow which are a little troublesome to me. One was a £65m increased Working Cap requirement that I’m less worried about unless the trend continues next year (could be completely normal). The other was an increase in “Other Operating costs”. They have been growing rapidly in aggregate and as a percentage of the total cost base for a while. 2022 - 74.1m (17% of all op costs) 2023 - 112.6m (21.5%) 2024 - 146.8m (22.2%) 2025 - 200.8m (26.5%) The accounts attribute the increase from 2024 to 2025 as “increased staging costs, specific direct costs of delivering increased revenues, certain residual property matters and inflationary pressures”. The attributable revenue (Matchday and Merch) isn’t increasing faster than these costs though! And I don’t see what overheads could possibly be rising this fast. Whatever has been causing this rapid rise, I hope the club has got a handle on it because it’s having an outsized impact on performance and opportunity to reinvest in the club long term.

@ThereseUTD @DeadStarLegacy Does anyone think that the solution is to not mark the players in there as by marking them your doubling the amount of people in there and I'd imagine that if the GK gets blocked by just the opposition then it would be easier for the ref to give a free kick.

@FPLfrasier Actually it wasn't VAR, the onfield ref gave the free kick and VAR is there is establish if there is a clear and obvious error. A bit like Umpires call in cricket LBW reviews. If the goal had been given VAR wouldn't have overturned it.

VAR thought what Kolo Muani did to Gabriel was a major push to rule out a goal. But, they didn’t find the Dias push on Burn as a foul. 🤔🤔 People doing meaningless Arsenal vs City debates for VAR. Reality is VAR too afraid to give decisions against title challengers. This has been the case for the last few years.

@jonathan_redman @DarrenArsenal1 Not if West Ham can keep going on their "run" and Forest start picking up results. And Spurs continue this form. Very, very real possibility of getting relegated.

Ive missed few games there in 40+yrs, there was no real aggro before the game, like games past, thier fans has lost the will, its been beaten out of them. Best stadium in Europe and how many of any of those players would be signed by any top club. Total imposters Coming out with the 'Thier worried, theyre nervous as hell, we're calm, we're ready' when your 16th in the league rally sums up where they are.

@Rory_Talks_Ball Easiest way, is to say once the direction of a restart is known, if any opposition player touches the ball or impedes the other team from restarting play from being taken it's a booking. But the refs would need to implement it to the letter of the law without exceptions.

Manchester City Insiders privately believe that the "115 Charges" verdict has been delayed due to potential consequences costing the Premier League £2.5bn consequently. The theory is that City holds a "kill switch": 1. If City gets kicked out, stars like Haaland and Guardiola leave. 2. Without them, TV channels allegedly have the right to cancel their contracts. 3. This would instantly cost the Premier League £2.5 billion. Clubs are getting fined and point deductions instantly but we are still waiting for Manchester City.
