I recently finished reading Edith Ellis's first novel, Seaweed: A Cornish Idyll (1898). A friend and peer of Carpenter's, I have been meaning to explore Ellis's writings for a while. Full of Cornish flavour and dialect, a probing exploration of love and relationships.

After a year of teacher training, I'm excited to resume PhD study with this exciting conference. Honoured to be counted among these influential academics and writers.

Proud to have worked with @readwithaudrey on four audibooks of Oscar Wilde short stories. My content guides you through the meanings, themes, and contexts of the stories, making them accessible for all readers. The "listen along" starts 1st October and my stories from the 13th.

@SamHoltonBradl1 This sounds fascinating. I recently started a PhD project on Edward Carpenter, dwelling, and queer ecotopia.

Part of my PhD project is thinking about the queer silvestral, an extension/update of Forster’s concept of the greenwood, of woodland as a landscape of queer retreat or sanctuary.

Edward Carpenter and George Merrill met in 1891 and remained partners for life. They were the inspiration behind E.M. Forster's Maurice. What a dashing couple!
