"I'm reading this guy's swing and it told me that he's having trouble picking up spin right now" is just an anecdotal version of the "robotic analytics" that say that in the aggregate that guy has had trouble picking up spin lately. Both information, both used to make decisions

The Caray twins are both commentating the A's game (and doing a nice job!) and I'm getting a real kick out of the broadcast having to put this up multiple times an inning to highlight which one's talking (as a twin I can tell them apart just fine 💅)

A must-read from @_Ben_Clemens that really well elucidates what's causing the spike in walk rate, when every broadcast that mentions it only really has time to say "it's ABS" and nothing else (when that's not quite it anyway)

I totally get it because he's a Yankee and the raw tools are ridiculous but I can't remember ever seeing this level of hype (from team socials and team fans alike) for someone who is not currently a T100 prospect at any outlet, as best I can tell

@MikeDro_ I don’t like publicizing any particular expectations for any particular prospect because I don’t want to be Old Takes Exposed and also these guys have enough pressure on them so all I ask for is one (1) absolutely insanely majestic homer

@jonbecker_ It’s valid, I think that him having a very similar profile to Judge and being in the same org has added to it. Most Yankee fans are very tempered for what he will actually produce, but god forbid he scrapes the ceiling it would be insane lol
