@philosophytweet Anything better would have to out-compete the fundamental drive of greed. It is a powerful motivator, but needs to be controlled by anti-competitive laws. Unfortunaley, altruism can't really compete at scale. Too bad Gene Roddenberry didn't tell us how the Vulcans did it.

Is there an alternative to capitalism?

@MicrosoftHelps It has now been over 4 months since my client has been locked out of their MSN account. A couple reps have tried to help, but have given wholly unsatisfactory responses, and have stopped communicating. 4 months, still counting...

@MicrosoftHelps I tweeted publicly and privately about being locked out of an account, and still no response days later. We tried following the directions to log back in, and it lets us reset the password, but still locked out. We tried submitting the AccountRecovery form, too

@MicrosoftHelps I'm a paid consultant trying to help a client recover their msn.com e-mail account, which also has an Office subscription. MS has been failing to respond to the AccountReinstatement form requests for *over a month*. Help!

@neiltyson The political vote (the smallest) had 45,000 fewer responses than the Covid-19 one (the largest), suggesting a huge potential error rate. For example, if it was mostly conservatives that chose not to answer, then they could be outnumbering the centrists. Though, no "other" opt.
