This is just short covering, not fundamentals. Hormuz is still closed, oil is still above $100, and Iran says they can fight for another 6 months. Nothing really changed on the ground. Shorts got squeezed on Trump saying “we’ll be out in 2-3 weeks” , which hasn’t happened. Tonight’s speech will be the real tell.

The way it works is pretty incredible. At first we know that whoever speaks up for Iran doesn't really matter. What does matter is that if you are short you cannot overstay your welcome.
