Worst part of being on Twitter as a user for me has always been the exposure to ignorant, envious, selfish people. “Never read the comments” is great advice for the Internet except this platform is all comments? Just a few more minutes of doom scroll and I swear I’ll put it down.

@rachelnabors @salihgueler Just bought a copy. Thanks for sharing.
Took this photo of a Studio Ghibli art book recently. Not sure which one. I’m wondering if this story relates to Princess Mononoke?

@soren_iverson It already looks like this on mobile browsers. As soon as the desktop browsers have decent native calendar pickers it will be easy for them to make that change.

@jazzychad Wow - I knew it wasn't finished, but didn't realize that half of the table of contents doesn't exist. Bummer.
I probably only need the basics anyway - so many other topics to learn as well...

@jondkoon It’s a great book! I’m just so sad it just kinda stops mid-book right at the good parts :(

Starting work again tomorrow. I spent my last week of funemployment learning #godot. Finished the 2d and 3d tutorials and even started prototyping a deck builder with 3d cards.
Now I'm in the self study phase. Currently learning about shaders with thebookofshaders.com

@JeremySF I’m sure it will cite sources eventually.
My takeaway on this topic is that the usability of the web in comparison is atrocious. Consider the average ad filled recipe website with paragraphs of pointless exposition.
The speed of information exchange is what is captivating.

As exciting and impressive as it is, this has been all I can think about since I saw the first batch of GPT-3 tweets. With search, you are linked off to the “primary” source to evaluate trust and veracity. Interested to see how we solve for that with synthesized knowledge.

Today @jensenharris called GPT-3 "the fastest and most dangerous tool for disinformation ever invented" and that might be right. It's amazingly easy to generate content like this that sounds highly credible.

This will probably work and will make Twitter even more addictive.
I admit my Tweets are pretty awful, but they still get plenty of views.
Elon Musk@elonmusk
Twitter is now serving almost 90 billion tweet impressions per day! Just how incredibly alive the system actually is will become obvious as we show view count on all tweets.

@angustweets While we are at it.
I am a habitual user of ctrl-l to clear the screen. It's a bit OCD, but... keeping it clean.
