-OG will guard 1-5 at various points and I think he’s up for the task
-Mitch has a great chance at some revenge
-Lastly I expect Brunson to come out slow as Philly will throw Oubre, PG & VJ at him, but as always he will get his, just can’t be overly stubborn about it
-Duece, GTA & Landry will all be key to slowing Maxey down too. We need to be picking him up full court to maximize our bench advantage
-Embiid will get his on O but similarly we need to make him work on D. At some point they are gonna dare Hart to shoot and he must hit some
Round 2 prediction: Knicks in 6
-This may be cope but I think Mikal can have a massive series. He’s gonna get the first stab at Maxey which is a monumental task, but more importantly I imagine the 6ers are going to try and hide Maxey on Mikal on Def. He needs to exploit this.
2 of Leon Rose’s 3 biggest swings are looking like complete misses with the Bridges trade and the Thibs/Brown Fire/Hire. A first round loss here would have irreversible impact on how he’s viewed.
This has been a rough 72 hours for the Knicks but we have seen time and again this team’s ability to bounce-back. Need that energy in a big way tonight. On the road with a team who theoretically has them right where they want them. Brown aside the players need to make a statement
My biggest complaint from last night were the rotations. Like what the fuck are these 3 off ball guards + OG + Mitch lineups. Swap KAT for Mitch and it’s perfect. If we aren’t gonna abuse Brunson+KAT PnR we may as well stagger their minutes so the offense doesn’t falter.
