@BlueandGray1864 Didn't Newt Gingrich write a novel on Confederates beating Yankees at Gettysburg? I think it was a trilogy. Good novels. But the best was Harry Turtledove's novel on how AK-47 led to Confederate victory. Harry Turtledove is best on alt history.

@sagathena @AirRaidJones it would've been a huge pain in the ass and significantly delayed from Europe at the very least. no real native beasts of burden (or any real domesticable animals) in North America, for one thing.
