Kim Hye Yoon shared that Lee Jong Won helped her feel less scared while filming Salmokji. During an interview held on April 2 in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, Kim Hye Yoon looked back on filming with actors around her age and said, “There was never a moment without laughter on set. Especially during the poster shoot, we were all close and around the same age, so it was hard not to laugh.” Talking about her chemistry with Lee Jong Won, she said, “From the first time we met, he treated me so comfortably, like we had already known each other for a long time, so we became close very quickly.” She added, “I worried a lot about how to bring our ex-lovers chemistry to life in the drama, but the director helped shape it through the way we spoke and our bickering relationship. We discussed it a lot while building the characters.” Kim Hye Yoon also said that Lee Jong Won took great care of her on set. “He really looked after me a lot during filming. In the movie, he’s also the character who calls my name the most, so that made me feel even more reassured,” she said. As for the most memorable moment during filming, Kim Hye Yoon chose the boat scene. “There was a scene where Kitae, played by Lee Jong Won, and I rode a boat together. For the full shot, only the two of us could stay there,” she recalled. “It was so quiet around us, and because I couldn’t see anything in the water, I felt scared not knowing what might be down there. There were also bare tree branches sticking out above the water, and even that felt strange.” She added, “If I had been alone, I don’t think I could have handled it.
