"I remember flying to New York, and she was so excited to play me her album [I Am... Sasha Fierce], which, as we all know, was amazing. I asked her, 'Well, did you do any other songs?' She said, 'Oh yeah, I have about seven or eight more songs that I'm not going to put on the album.' And I said, 'Well, you know, let me just hear those.' She played a couple, and then she played 'Single Ladies.' And I was like, 'Wow, you're not going to put that on the album?' She's like, 'No, Dad, I'm not going to put that on the album.' I said, 'Why, Beyoncé?' She said, 'Because it sounds like "Crazy in Love."' And I was like, 'Beyoncé, that's the reason why it should be on the album. It's a hit, just like Crazy In Love.'"
