This moment is pure GOLD. Astronaut Victor Glover (Artemis II pilot) was incredibly kind and gentle with a little girl who has Down syndrome during the welcome home events. He took his time, gave her hugs, and made her feel completely safe and special, exactly the kind of humanity that makes heroes even greater. CLASS ACT!

Last thing about the war in Iran. I’ve had some of you say, what about your grandsons, great grandsons, aren’t you scared they will be drafted, then sent to war. Here’s an answer to your question. My generation sat in class rooms, 8th-12th grade. Every day were heard about the Vietnam war! Were we scared, hell yes we were! Then we started hearing about young men we knew being killed, maimed, we became angry and a lot of us turned that anger into wanting to go fight! I was one of those kids! I graduated high school in June 1967. The day after graduation I signed my name to the bottom of a form, so I could become a Marine! 18 years old and willing to die for this country! There were a lot of us willing to die! Later on we learned Vietnam was a political war, nothing more! The NVA and g@@ks were no threat to this country. But, we fought! We came home to hate, hate because we fought! So your whiny asses can call me anything you want! Tell me I’m an old man! But, I’ve already heard your hate….when I was 20 years old! Iran has been threatening this country for 47 years, they ARE a threat to this country!

Let me give you a little background on this young man who has autism. I remember the first time he came out to Diego Ranch. He was scared of all the horses, he didn't want to touch them, his hands were waving all over the place, he didn't like the smell of horse poop. To get him to go through the gate took some tricky thinking. Today he is riding all by himself on his OWN horse. He brushes him, walks him and puts the saddle on. I have seen so many positive changes in this young cowboys life that people wouldn't believe this was the same child who was scared to death of them. I'm super proud of this young man and I know a ton of other people are too. Everyone please give this cowboy and his new horse Smarty a big CONGRATULATIONS. If you don't believe equine assisted therapy works well this is 100 percent proof that it does. Support equine assisted therapy because who knows it might be you that needs the help next.
