I nearly became a billionaire at 26, but my mindset wouldn't allow it.
At the time, I was running a small paint factory in Dutse Alhaji. One afternoon, at the Zone 5 building materials market, I met a retired captain. My client whispered to me that the man was a heavy-duty contractor. He wasn't sure, but the man was a regular in the market.
I felt my prayers had been answered as I exchanged numbers with the man.
We agreed to meet at Rockview Hotel that evening, and I was there an hour early.
When he arrived, about 30 minutes late, he spread a massive architectural design on the table. It was an estate in Lokogoma with over 300 buildings.
"We will do this together," he said. "But I need to know you won't disappear once the money hits your account."
I started shaking. I told him my mother was a Sunday school teacher and my brother was a priest. I was trying to prove my integrity, but I was actually showing my fear.
He laughed and said, "Na until the money drop we go know if your mother be bishop."
I didn't feel offended. I could take any insult to leave my then funny economic state.
He lowered his voice and said: 'I want 2 of us to do the whole job. We can find other contractors, but we will use your account in executing the contract.'
It wasn't what I was expecting.
He asked: 'Hope you have a corporate account?"
I said yes.
Then he said the number.
"The project is worth 4 billion naira."
Immediately I heard that, I froze.
My account balance at that moment was less than 50k.
In fact, the reason I went to the market was to know if my client would pay me some of what he owed me, and he hadn't sold much.
Besides, I had never even seen a steady 500k in my bank account.
While he was describing the future, I wasn't listening anymore. I was busy calculating the price of the two bottles of Heineken he drank and the bottle of water I had been sipping for hours.
I was also wondering about the fastest way to get back to Dutse.
Then the captain added the line I had been expecting.
"I will give you the forms to fill out. But you need to send 200k to an account tonight so we can move fast."
I took the forms, thanked him, and didn't say much for the rest of the meeting.
On my way home, I only thought about the price of the beer I had just paid for and how it had depreciated the little in my account.

@BSAT_Properties God bless you for your tweets. I have not built any house, but I have gotten experience of building a house just by reading your tweets everyday.
English

You want to roof your house
The money is incomplete
You decide to do either of these two while waiting to buy roofing sheets:
1. Buy the planks and keep
2. Roof the house
If you do either of these, you've set yourself up for failure
If you buy planks and keep, you've prepared a delicious meal for termites
They will dine amd wine on your planks until you have nothing worthwhile left
If you roof the house without covering the planks, the elements will destroy them
Imagine exposing your roof to rain and sunlight everyday!
If you can't afford the planks and roofing sheets once, buy the roofing sheets and keep
They won't be destroyed like planks

🚨 JUST IN: Raul Asencio had a HUGE ARGUMENT with Alvaro Arbeloa!
When Arbeloa decided to bench him against Man City, Asencio was very UPSET and he CONFRONTED Arbeloa about it.
After that, things escalated even FURTHER. Arbeloa had decided to start Asencio against Elche, but on the day of the match, shortly before the team's usual morning warm-up session, Asencio suddenly appeared in Arbeloa's office accompanied by a doctor, and informed the manager that he had some minor muscle discomfort and didn't feel fit to play, which really upset Arbeloa.
Arbeloa then informed Rudiger, who was supposed to rest, that he now had to play against Elche, which really upset Rudiger, as he's extremely strict with his planning and match preparation protocol.
Arbeloa then dropped Asencio against Elche, City and Atletico, even though he was training normally, and the reason for that is that Asencio failed to apologize to the team for criticizing Arbeloa's decision to bench him against Man City.
Asencio then apologized to Arbeloa , but the manager asked him to do so in front of the group. Until he did, he wouldn't be called up.
The situation became more entrenched than expected because Asencio didn't feel he had to apologize to his teammates. And he didn't do so initially. "Does anyone have anything to say?" Arbeloa asked at the end of one of the huddles before training, hoping to prompt Asencio's apology. The center-back lowered his head and didn't speak. So Arbeloa kept dropping him.
Asencio then finally decided, after the intl break, to put an end to the matter and apologize to the team for what happened with Arbeloa after the Manchester City game and his subsequent last-minute withdrawal against Elche. After the apology, Asencio returned to the squad against Mallorca and was included again against Bayern Munich. However, he didn't play in either match. @marca

Date women in the same phase of life that you are, and not by age difference.
For example, you're a man (31yrs) in a middle class/level job, earning well and looking to pivot to the next level, date a woman in the same phase of life, even if she's 22 or 33. Don't be with someone who's 22 or 33, but still trying to grow from scratch because you want to be Bob the Builder.
Dating in life phases helps you filter out easily too. It brings understanding, partnership, and relatability.

🔥 BRUTAL TRUTHS EVERY WORKING MAN NEEDS TO HEAR BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE 🔥
Men, this is not motivation. This is survival. Read it like your entire future depends on it—because it does.
🔥 Brutal Thread:
🔥 STOP BEING A BOSS’S PET
When your boss leaves, retires, or gets transferred, you become just another replaceable employee. Build respect through competence, not loyalty to a man who won’t remember you in five years.
🔥 SAVE MONEY BEFORE YOU EVEN TOUCH IT
Automatic deductions are the only reason most men ever build wealth. When you try to “save what’s left,” there’s never anything left — only regret.
🔥 YOUR SALARY WON’T SAVE YOU
A side hustle isn’t optional. It’s insurance. Build something that pays you while you sleep, because your job can disappear while you’re awake.
🔥 DON’T BORROW TO IMPRESS ANYONE
Debt is slavery. Borrow only for investment or urgent emergencies — not to look rich for people who will never help you pay it back.
🔥 A PAYCHECK IS A LEASH, NOT SECURITY
The moment you fail to perform, you’re disposable. Build something that belongs to you. Your employer doesn’t care about your future — you must.
🔥 STOP WORSHIPPING PROMOTIONS
Promotion doesn’t mean ownership. Master your craft. Build your name. If promotion comes, good. If not, you’re still valuable outside that building.
🔥 KEEP YOUR FAMILY OUT OF YOUR WORKPLACE
Never mix domestic stress with professional life. When work meets home, both collapse — and the man suffers most.
🔥 BUILD YOUR HOUSE EARLY
Whether it’s in town or the village — own land, own walls, own a roof. Government housing is temporary comfort with permanent risk. Your kids deserve to grow under your roof, not a rented one.
🔥 GO HOME — YOU’RE NOT IRREPLACEABLE
If you die today, a replacement is hired next week. But your wife and children? They’ll live with that pain forever. Don’t sacrifice your family for a job that won’t sacrifice anything for you.
🔥 DON’T COMPETE WITH COLLEAGUES OR BOSSES
Competition kills peace. Your only rival is yesterday’s version of you. Run your own race, quietly and consistently.
🔥 JOIN THE WELFARE FUND
It looks insignificant now — until the day life strikes. Those small contributions will carry you when everything else fails.
🔥 START PROJECTS WHILE YOU’RE STILL EARNING
Business needs trial and error. Build something now, fail now, learn now — so you retire into stability, not confusion.
🔥 PENSION MONEY IS NOT CAPITAL
It’s not for business experiments, bride prices, school fees, or impressing a young woman. It’s survival money — waste it, and you’ll suffer.
🔥 RETIRE EARLY ENOUGH TO ENJOY LIFE
Don’t wait until your bones are weak and your energy is gone. Retire while you can still travel, think, walk, and enjoy mornings without alarms
🔥 USE YOUR LEAVE DAYS WISELY
If you waste every holiday sleeping or watching TV, that’s exactly how retirement will look — but poorer
🔥 AVOID OFFICE GOSSIP
Men who gossip are men with empty lives. Protect your reputation. Once stained, it never shines again
🔥 PLAN YOUR RETIREMENT FROM DAY ONE
Retirement is inevitable. Planning is optional. But if you fail to plan, you will retire into panic, poverty, and pressure
🔥 RETIRE IN YOUR OWN HOME
When you leave the company house, no one will care where you go. Your community should welcome you back to a home with your name on it
🔥 DON’T LET COMPANY BENEFITS FOOL YOU
Free medical, free transport, free housing — all temporary. When your contract ends, so does the comfort
🔥 ACCEPT THE TRUTH — YOU WILL RETIRE
Voluntarily or forcefully, the day is coming. Better to walk out strong on your own terms than be thrown out like expired stock
🔥 FINAL WARNING FOR MEN:
Your job is not your identity. Your office is not your home. Your boss is not your father. Before life humbles you at 55, build something that belongs to you
A man who waits for retirement to start living dies regretting every year he wasted serving another man’s dream

Your Android phone’s storage is full.
You delete photos, videos, apps. It’s still full.
Because it’s not the visible files that are eating up your storage. Most of it is the HIDDEN junk that Android never tells you about.
I cleaned mine yesterday and got 23GB back without deleting a single photo.
Here’s how:
