Nobody could say Oxford have been splashing the cash and they struggled last season and again this yet spending £22m on a wage bill and net spend of over £5m on transfers on income of £19m. How could a club in the champ be run sustainably?

Oxford United publish 24/25 accounts, when the club finished 17th in the Championship. @Hut2008Paul @IanByrneMP But 80 plus clubs lose millions & need an owner to underwrite them.player costs are the problem get them under control & the tickets can be sold at a lower price. Football isn’t all about the prem . The champ is bonkers with some clubs spending 100% plus of revenue on wages

@jonnyFrith @IanByrneMP If you look at the %age of income via ‘Matchday ticket sales’ it is a small proportion of a PL clubs income. I would suggest in most cases less than 10% of income. The vast amount of income is via PL payts & bonus, & any UEFA comp earnings, plus sponsorship income.

I spent £150,000 to put on a networking dinner in England. Everyone was starting to get worried because they knew I was in Dubai and thought there was no way I could travel back.
