BOROVENT DAY 16
Today takes us to a cult hero of recent times, and the shining star of the 24/25 season, Jonny Stuttle!
Jonny first joined the Yellows in the midst of a striker crisis, having had seen multiple strikers in and out of the club. Boro looked all out of luck after injuries to Hady Ghandour and Pemi Aderoju, but landing Stuttle felt like a kind of karma for Boro fans.
Jonny joined on loan from Premier League Bournemouth as a highly rated young striker, and brought a goal scoring run of form which revitalised Farnboroughs season.
His 10 goals in 19 games, aswell as multiple other notable appearances against the likes of Dorking and Maidstone helped Boro land a highly respectable 10th place finish.
He gained an instant connection with the fans who quickly gave him the infamous “Stuttle again” chant.
Jonny shared a great onfield chemistry with the likes of Reggie Young, Joe Haigh, Richard Chin and Ricky Holmes, and became a key outlet for their creativity.
Stuttle isn’t the latest man to wear the #16 shirt, with Renny Smith, Maxwell Mullins, Francis Amartey, and Henry Hawkins.
Have a good day one and all.
