@jonstf1 Part of it is there are different cost curves for different refined products which depends on things like refinery capacity & production processes eg. jet fuel has also gone up a lot more than petrol/diesel.

If the City Deal is used for the mundane work of improving access & restoring trails it’ll probably money well spent

@jonstf1 The Conservatives did lots of things with stamp duty at various times, cutting it for various periods. Labour lowered the threshold for stamp duty when they came in, making it far worse and more costly. It’s right that it’s now scrapped.

What’s not to like? Saves people thousands. Scrap stamp duty. That’s the Conservatives new policy.

We need to be drilling more oil and gas. Further exploration and production in the North Sea is vital for energy security. Labour are refusing to allow this, which is making us reliant on importing. Labour also plan to hike fuel duty in September for the first time in 15 years.
