Again, lovely, good moral and character people. They have a country to be proud of and they have a lot of meaningful history for the world. Maersk is a hell of a company and that actually is a significant bargaining chip that I forget. But for the most part, they along with a lot of countries of stature require protection from the world bullies. USA is one of them. Not bashing Denmark in any way, but in the worlds of USA, Brazil, Germany, China, Russia, France power they are irrelevant.

Our billionaire Treasury Secretary called Denmark “irrelevant.” Hmm. Unlike the US, in Denmark, health care & college are free, the starting wage is $22 an hour, paid parental leave is 1 year, paid vacation is 6 weeks & all workers get pensions. That seems very relevant to me.

They are smaller in population than the single city of dallas. Their entire economys GDP is smaller than Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam AND MANY OTHER countries that are also irrelevant. A country having European ideals that lean toward socialist economies doesn’t make them relevant. They are a geopolitical PAWN ♟️. They have built an amazing safe country for their citizens that works for them and the small country. But they are irrelevant on the GEOPOLITICAL LANDSCAPE period. No military, no serious money, NOTHING that really matters or that can be used as a bargaining chip. That is what you call irrelevant. Wonderful people though.

Next question is if china are transporting goods to let say America, dont you want it to be a shorter travel route? Would make goods cheaper and less impact on climate.

@jonteaudi @mistergeezy Not true Sweed. Europe relies on the U.S. for exports like cars, machinery, and pharmaceuticals, supporting many jobs, while the U.S. benefits too but would be less affected if trade were cut.

@jonteaudi @mistergeezy You forget the part that the products he mentions are sold by companies, not the countries themselves. Not selling their products to America would make lose money dramatically. Unless there are sanctions put in place or embargo’s, that would never happen.
