When Jesus expels demons and heals the sick, he is driving out of creation the powers of destruction, and is healing and restoring created beings who are hurt and sick. The lordship of God to which the healings witness, restores creation to health. Jesus' healings are not supernatural miracles in a natural world. Surprised at @CTmagazine under reporting on Asbury. They did a couple of things, but not in proportion to the conversation and moment happening around the world with Gen Z. Like a lot of other older institutions, struggling to show relevance to the next generation. Saddened as I have appreciated them over the years. Moments like this reveal the shifting dynamics of generations. So much momentum on Rise and Fall and critique of the church. So little attention when the next generation responds with simple devotion.

Just a reminder folks, don't believe everything you read on social media or the internet. Amazing how we forget that when we get caught up in delivering hot takes.

@AdamPage85 Manifest presence and omnipresence are different. Gods manifest presence is in Asbury. Scripture is always central for both though.

People are treating Asbury like it’s a supernatural wormhole like the portals to the Upside Down in Stranger Things. If you wanna drive up to see repentance & conversion? Great. But you can have revival wherever there’s a Bible. Open it up. People need to be HUNGRY for their Word

Conservatives would rather work to reform church theology and practice. Intellectuals doubt supernatural intervention. Rationalists dismiss emotional enthusiasm. All convene committees and organize campaigns. But few will plead for revival. (Martyn Lloyd-Jones)

@LGaineyPhotog Totally understand :) I deeply value discernment, but we need God so desperately amongst this next generation, and when a group prays, repents, worships and cheers for the public reading of scripture, we should rejoice. I saw it with my own eyes. Much grace and peace :)

@JonTyson I’m sure you won’t elaborate or give any other answer. However this has really been discouraging to me today. I pray this is true revival, I really do. I apologize if it came across otherwise. I’m newly out of the charismatic new age and I have questions. Genuine, not malicious

1 John 4:1, 1 Thess 5:20-21, Acts 17:10-11 We’re specifically called to examine everything & compare to scripture. That is a sign of a mature Christian. **A pastor limiting comments on a post such as this feels like a sign of immaturity.**

You don't have to go to Asbury for a move of God. Pray for your local high school or college where you are. Set time apart in your weekly rhythm to pray for Gen Z.

This is the response of a young man publicly repenting of his sins and giiving his life to Jesus at the Asbury Outpouring.

Asbury Outpouring tonight. Just simple devotion to Jesus. Purest thing I've witnessed in a long time. Zero hype, confession, testimonies, reading of scripture and worship.

Here is my summary of the Asbury Revival as I sit here in the room. It's a paraphrase of Jesus words at his annointing in Mark 14:6 "Leave them alone," said Jesus. "Why are you bothering them? They have done a beautiful thing for me.

Currently broken down on the side of the road 4 hours from Asbury Revival. Rented a new SUV to get here. Gotta love it. Stars are magnificent out here though :)
