Como se podía confirmar la semana pasada cuando decenas de miles de personas se reunieron en la Plaza Zócalo de México para ver a BTS, el interés del pueblo mexicano por nuestra cultura es sumamente alto. México celebra cada 4 de mayo como el “Día del Inmigrante Coreano” y fue el primer país de América Latina al que emigraron los coreanos. Esto demuestra la larga historia de intercambios y amistad entre nuestros dos países. Hoy he tenido una conversación telefónica con la Presidenta Sheinbaum del México, y coincidimos en fortalecer la cooperación bilateral en diversos sectores, tales como la economía, la cultura y la energía. Sobre todo, he subrayado la necesidad de reanudar a la mayor brevedad posible las negociaciones del TLC entre Corea y México, con el fin de que los resultados de esta cooperación puedan convertirse en beneficios reales para los pueblos de nuestros ambos países. Asimismo, deseo sinceramente el éxito de la Copa Mundial que se celebrará el próximo mes en México. Corea y México estan en el mismo grupo y se enfrentarán en la fase de grupos de la Copa Mundial el próximo 18 de junio. Espero que sea un partido memorable que pueda ser disfrutado por los pueblos de ambos países, más allá del resultado. Every time a third person praises RM, part of the fandom (not solos or akgaes, btw) reacts like the gif because, deep down, some of you still choose to reduce his role as a leader to just his English skills instead of acknowledging the musical recognition he’s had since debut. Some of you are so quick to dismiss his artistic vision, creativity, and musicality, yet rush to congratulate other members for doing things he has been doing for years. And what’s worse is turning everything into some kind of competition, acting like “I’m so glad he was wrong,” the same shady behavior some of you showed during the Body to Body situation lol. Ironically, the more some of you try to soften or downplay acknowledgment of his role, the more it unintentionally highlights how significant his contributions really are.
