fun little fact: kagerou is technically chacha’s song, it was released on his album “air” in 2002. he composed the song but lyrics r all gackt,, g was also featured in the track for vocals. 7 years later g remastered it for gladiator then it became a staple song for 2010s yfcz!!

@gacktology Even though his voice sounds undertrained and fragile at the time, there's something cute and nostalgic to it. Though sometimes I do listen to it and am happy that both he and I finally learnt to sing without damaging the voice 😊

@gacktology Getting custom IEMs is not very rare though. You can do it in NL for about 100 euros and I remember it could already be done since the '90s. So not sure what he's on about.

i was watching the prestige as i tend to do when i come across it and randomly remembered that back in 2007 gackt participated in a press screening for it as mr. marik's (a japanese magician) stage assistant, and the guy was having a tough time because gackt just sucks up all of the audience's attention mr. marik then went on to say that "there's no one in japan quite as mysterious, he has a magician's aura", and an article described g as possessing both hugh jackman's glamorous and christian bale's dark charisma, so he may be the perfect magician (gackt has also been called the japanese david bowie and he's in this movie so idk, maybe christopher nolan was onto something) gackt denied that, saying that he's naturally clumsy and awkward, but that he'd seen the movie 3 times already and wanted to see it again (very in character of him)
