What problems are left to solve for guitarists?

@csteinmetz1 I think future mixers and producers will end up using different generative models, each with their respective strenghts both sound-wise and interface-wise (some model's idea of "warmth", for instance, better suited for certain genres or sound sources)

At first this seems unlikely, since mixing or audio effects in general provide creators with fine-grained control over timbre. However, once timbral control is encapsulated by generative AI why would I want individual plugins when they can be reproduced by a single model?

Even as someone who cares a lot about mixing, I feel mixing and mastering (and audio effects) as we know them today could be totally replaced by generative AI. Why?
