The first OP to Rurouni Kenshin was written in 3 days. Fuji TV did not tell the band what title or genre the OP was for so the band used the OP to Candy Candy as an inspiration. The song's title Sobakasu comes from Candy Candy's opening lyrics "Sobakasu nante, ki ni shinai wa."
