@JH_Memory_Aging Q5 Often research is done for a majority group and therefore treatment is geared toward the majority group. Things are not always the same in diverse groups and unless this is addressed, the treatment may not be as effective for these groups by eliminating critical factors.

Am i right to be concerned for my parents, who haven’t been boosted, going to a big-ish family Christmas party? I know of an uncle who is an anti-vaxxer. I texted my mom about my concerns

@JH_Memory_Aging Q4This has to start from the beginning. Our healthcare system and structure of society have to realize and deal with the fact the disparities will exist unless we address these issues before they happen. It’s like beginning to peel away the onion skin and being proactive.

@JH_Memory_Aging Acknowledging that disparities exist seems to have resulted in more collaboration among different group/organizations to address the issue and begin to assess, plan and implement actions that can make a difference. The collaborative partnership behind this group is an example.
