twitter discussion: >alcohol is bad for you >you fought to make it legal again in 1933, deal with it.. LIBTARD! >actually alcoholism is good for some people because it helps you cope with your neurodivergent adhd habits that are worse now because of gentrification and capitalism

#freebre @txgermanbre has been temporarily banished for a length of time due to being mass reported by hardcore Czech nationalists. Bre maintains her innocence and pleads with the Czech public that she means no harm and will buy beers for everyone while Czech aura farming

@JoelTheDane We should not be like Russia. Collective punishments are against our values. Especially, supposed "patriots" vote pro-Russian parties in quite large numbers, and they don't get any accountability for that

@EU_Commission For What do we need Bangladesh for ? Is this the same strategy like chase away 10.000 educated young people from Europe and bring in 500.000 uneducated ones ? Eu is sitting other way around on the horse I think

@EU_Commission Translation: the EU is going to import more people from Bangladesh in order to replace the native EU populations. The globalists continue to build their fiefdoms of cheap labor, and a more controllable and compliant populace.

@EU_Commission The only cooperation we need with Bangladesh is to make sure not a single Bangladeshi lives in Europe.

@mrwtffacts That was when Europe had a semblance of a working system. Today aliens rape their daughters and walk away, free.

In 1998, a 13-year-old girl was abducted and raped at knifepoint in Alicante, Spain. The rapist, 63-year old Antonio Cosme, was sentenced to 9 years in jail. 7 years later, in 2005, the victim's mother, María del Carmen García, was waiting at a bus stop when she saw a man approaching. "How's your daughter doing?" the man asked with a smirk on his face. It was her daughter's rapist. Antonio was out on day release. Enraged by what had just happened, Maria ran to the nearest store, purchased 1.5 litres of gasoline, and walked into the bar that Antonio had just entered. She doused him head-to-toe with gasoline, lit him up, and stood back and calmly watched as her daughter's rapist burned alive in front of her eyes. Maria was sentenced to 9.5 years in jail for her act of revenge, but was released in 2018 after serving 5.5 years. Today, she lives freely in Spain after being reunited with her daughter.

@AustrPamplets Ironically, Franz Joseph I became one of protector of Islam after annexation of Bosnia. And it quite follows in tradition of Josephinist ideals of religious tolerance

I genuinely believe that within this or the next decade there will be a large social democratic revival in countries like Poland, Czechia, Hungary, and Romania. Combine how leftwing young people are with a 2 decade absence of the centre left, I think there will be a comeback.

@The_Davos_Man Also, having 20 different governments in 20 years and economic depression of 1930s broke trust in democracy. At the same time, idea of new "people's democracy" was seen as higher democracy which would be in state firms among workers, but was never really implemented.

The communists were genuinely popular in post-war Czechoslovakia. There was a nationwide disillusionment with liberal democracy. So the communists won 32% in the first free post-war election, best result communists had in a free election to this day. And then they did a coup.
Insidiator@Insidiator69

@The_Davos_Man What explains their rise? Was it the feeling of being betrayed in 1938 that Czechoslovak society tolerated the Communist takeover?

Málo se mluví o tom, že 40 % lidí v Rakousku by dnes volilo stranu, která je nejen proruská, ale i přímo protičeská.

@The_Davos_Man Tbf, Czech culture is not very Slavic, apart from language maybe. It was part of German cultural sphere for 1100 years, and there are many similarities in mentality, way of thinking, customs and institutions. Idea of being is Slavic is quite vague itself

Yes. Many Slavic studies institutes at Western universities are very Russophilic, and portray Russia as the centre of all Slavic culture. I was lucky I studied in Vienna, the Slavic studies institute there was heavily influenced and shaped by Czech and Polish academics.
