@RobbyBerger More weight on the heels, less on the balls has helped me with my shanks lately

Shank % has moved up to 65%… the “hit it on the toe” swing thought actually really helped but still open to more swing thoughts. I’m as desperate as it gets here

This is actually a fascinating football discussion, and not just in the case of Weddle. There are a plethora of swingmen, or hybrid players in the AFL, and they’re so valuable to teams because of their ability to play at a relatively high level across the ground, filling holes for injuries or deficiencies or matchup concerns etc. But, the question is, can a player (like Weddle) ever get to his potential if he’s spending 3-4 years playing across the ground and not developing or specialising in certain positions. I raise it because when we look at the best players in the league, there’s not really a lot of hybrid players, or swingmen. Now obviously Bontempelli can play forward, and I’m sure plenty of others *can* play in different positions, but at their core, their magnet goes to the same spot, week in, week out.

"Going into the midfield, there's a football nous. You've gotta be able to find it consistently. That part of his growth as a player is pending." 🗣️ Nick Riewoldt on Josh Weddle

@davidking34 Thought this myself. Melbourne is a windier city than Chicago. That area has to be the most exposed area of the metro area. Would it not help the players get better? Same principle as running with weights on? Let the dogs off the chain under the roof at Docklands?

It must be impossible to have an effective training session with this exposure to the wind at the new Dingley set up. My god. The High Performance centre looks amazing but it’d blow the dog off the chain out here… Reminds me of Melbourne at Casey or Williamstown VFA days!

Excessive gambling is a growing addiction among golfers that must be curbed. It’s not cool to play for $100/hole. My standard bet is for a drink after the round. At Chicago Golf Club, only a $1 Nassau is allowed. Members play for signed dollar bills and pin them up in their lockers. #EXPAND At an Atlanta club, a member's wife shot up his car for losing $100,000 in the member-member tournament. #SHRINK

@punt_rd Sammy Hagar enabled Eddie to go so much deeper in his songwriting. Eddie was a better songwriter than guitarist imo and this is part of that journey. Some of the synths and samples sound dated but the core song is a masterpiece imo

This is potentially the biggest distance on an Australian sign. I wonder if there are any in the world larger?

The case for trees in pro golf! Rory with a 270 yard punch shot under the tree. This kind of working the ball only happens because of trees or extreme wind. Yes trees shouldn’t engulf golf courses, but should be used when interesting! Save the trees!
