@treywallace Awful. He braces. Head faces away fearing unexpected contact. Not things you do if you’re seeking malicious contact. Not to mention that he’s an A+ kid and would never do that. But the review center doesn’t know that obviously nor does it matter. Just adding context. Bad call.

Was this malicious contact by Oregon on Utah Valley catcher Mason Strong or obstruction. Umpires ruled it was malicious contact by Oregon’s Anson Aroz after 7 minute review, and he was ejected after being ruled safe WOW

Obviously biased but JuCo is also a great way to go (freshman/redshirts) great opportunities for “right now” playing time to spring board back to ANY 4 year level

When former athletes tell me they want to enter the transfer portal, my response is always the same: ☑️ Are you willing to go D2 or D3? ☑️ Are you willing to receive zero scholarship money? If your answer isn’t an immediate YES to both… then you’re probably not as miserable as you think. I also make sure they know: nearly 50% of athletes who enter the portal NEVER PLAY SOFTBALL AGAIN.

Is this the year that more softball players that enter the portal with minimal opportunities/stats figure out that JUCO is the BEST option for them? We will see @SoftballPortal

🆘 GET THIS 🆘 I know in my one of previous polls, most Athletes said the D1 dream was about the status. But let me share something with you. 👉 Just got off the phone with a personal friend, former D1 catcher who I have known since 2019. Graduated this year from this four-year institution where she had a significant amount of playing time. 💰 Still has $26k in student loans after athletic & academic scholarships. At which point she also shared with me she has to start paying soon. (Scary when you don’t have a regular income) - and - Yes, I know there are income driven plans, different payment plans. But debt doesn’t go away on its own. 📛 All the athletes out there that are motivated by status 📛 💵 There are NAIA, JC, and D2 programs that can stack scholarships for more 💰 then you would get at a D1. I promise you when you’re $30k deep in student loans coming out of college trying to grasp a new identity, find a job, live on your own, have a social life, etc… on top of having to now pay the minimum on your student loans… You may look back and wish you were a little more open to all the opportunities that were presented to you rather than the status of being on a D1 athletic program. 💥 No one has ever looked at me different in the working world/friendship world because I was a D2 Athlete 💥 🎤
