any midfielder shouts that are *actually* doable? pape gueye, lamine camara & agoume are the best i've got off the top of my head that would be smart from a financial/quality pov, i like them for this united side. depends but still think united could push for cm/gk with sales.

@ole_was_right For me it would be shipping a load of players, even if we don’t replace all of them. Being brave in the selling market where we haven’t been before, bringing in proper profiles for this system and bedding in some youth. A tangible step towards putting the first brick in place

Genuine question: What does a “statement” action look like after this? Throwing money at a bunch of players? Throwing money at one massive signing? Sacking the manager? Backing the manager? I can’t wrap my head around what’s next. Nothing feels like the “there it is” solution, except a sale from the Glazers. But Christ knows that tonight wouldn’t be the catalyst for that.

All this chat about Amorim being out of his depth/not the right man to take us forward is SO reactionary. This sucks, yes. But as fans, for once, let’s step back and look at the bigger picture. He’s got a summer transfer window + a pre-season, let’s afford him that before judging

@AttackingFooty Wayne Rooney for me. It’s tough as Andy has elevated the sport’s significance/popularity in the UK - something no British tennis player has been able to do since Fred Perry. If it wasn’t for Messi & Ronaldo (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic), Rooney’d be remembered as one of the best.
