When the Ultra Ball + Energy card were shown from the Lillie's, both players, the table judges, the casters and all viewers at home understood who won that game. The pop-off is over the top, but not sure why this ended up with a game loss.

Why does it seem like Pokemon TCG cannot go one event without some sort of ruling drama?
Like is the rulebook the issue, are the players using poorly written rules to their advantage or is the game just prone to this kind of stuff because it’s a TCG?

I REALLY want to run in person Pokemon VGC tournaments in London, but everytime I try to figure it out I run into a certain roadblock.
