@PeterVeentjer Yes, but unfortunately, a lot of engineers do so because this is what linters or "best practices" enforce, and these aim not that much to write optimal code than to set a common ground for smoother collaboration (imho).

A lot of engineers are so focussed on short methods. They happily sacrifice a longer but easy-to-follow flow/logic for a shorter but harder-to-follow flow. It isn't an excuse to always make long methods, but in some cases, a longer method is easier to understand.
