People are getting mad at Zayn for saying he was never in love with Gigi (the mother of his child) and sure, that’s wild.
But they’re missing the real lesson here.
He said: “If I had been in love, I would’ve been a better version of myself.”
That’s the entire point, imo.
When a man truly loves you, he doesn’t stagnate. He will upgrade, regulate, become disciplined, idk do whatever is required to fix what’s broken without you having to beg/ask/try.
In my opinion (and Zayn’s words confirm this) love makes a man aspire. It sharpens him, makes him want to build, protect, provide, evolve because he wants to be worthy of the life you’re building together.
You cannot “fix” a man. You shouldn’t. Guy who loves you will fix himself. It’s what they do.
And if he isn’t becoming better with you, he simply isn’t in love.
Lesson in there ✌🏻
