Hands up if you get why P1-3s go back to school early to do colouring and phonics, while P6s battling mountains of AQE prep and counting down the clock until November have to stay at home. Because I don't.

@johnrdicko Funnily enough The Mayor of Casterbridge was the one I least enjoyed! I thought the plot was a bit far-fetched. But like you I also loved Far From the Madding Crowd and Tess is probably now my favourite of his novels

Lockdown reading goals: having always enjoyed his poetry, I decided last year that I would try & read most of Thomas Hardy’s major novels. Today I finished the 5th - Jude the Obscure. Not exactly the happiest series of books to read during a global pandemic but it’s been fun 📖
