🚨🗣️ | Arsenal Legend Theo Walcott Slams Bruno Fernandes on winning ‘Undeserved’ FWA Footballer of the year: “I have to be honest, I am looking at the FWA results and I am struggling to understand the logic. For me, Bruno Fernandes is a talented player, yes, but does he deserve to be the Footballer of the Year? Absolutely not. To be the best in this country, you must lead your team to the very top, you must show up in the biggest moments against the biggest rivals. I did not see this consistency. In my view, the award belongs to Declan Rice. What he has done for Arsenal this season the leadership, the physicality, the way he dictates the tempo it is a level above. The only reason Bruno is holding that trophy today is because the vote was a mess. You have Rice, you have Saka, you have Gabriel, and even Raya getting votes. The Arsenal excellence is so spread out that the journalists split their ballots. Meanwhile, at Manchester United, who else are they going to vote for? There is nobody else. The United fans and the media had only one name to click, so he wins by default, not by being the superior footballer. It is a 'consolation prize' for a club that is still miles behind the standard we set. If you put Bruno in that 2004 Arsenal team, he wouldn't even make the bench because he lacks the discipline. He wins an individual award while the real winners are preparing for trophies. That is the difference between a great player and a legendary one."

🗣️Paul Scholes doesn’t like how #Arsenal play football: "I don’t think they’re the best champions we’ll ever see. I don’t think we’ll talk about this team in years to come like great United teams. You can win in all different ways, I’m just trying to say, they’re not a team I’d turn on and watch all the time. We’ve seen. Raya and the centre-halves just playing and playing. It’s been boring. “You don’t always have to beat the top teams - they’ve not beat City and Liverpool, the best teams for the last four, five, six years. That’s why I don’t think people will speak about them being a great team. “I know you can get away with not winning those games, of course you can, but to be a great team, you’ve got to go and beat these teams. They won’t have beaten City, won’t have beaten Liverpool, United beat them."

🚨🗣️ | Wayne Rooney on the Media Hypocrisy Regarding Arsenal: “I’ve been seeing the reaction to the Bayern and PSG game, and honestly, it’s a joke. Everyone was hyping this up as the 'ultimate' game of the week, the most entertaining game of the round. It ends 1-1 and I’m seeing nothing. Where’s that same energy people have for Arsenal? When Arsenal grind out a 1-0 win or a 1-1 draw the media calls it 'boring' or 'negative football.' But look at Bayern tonight I didn’t see a team that wanted to win. I saw a Bayern side that looked like they expected PSG to just sit back and defend, but got disappointed. They played with zero energy, their body language was completely lackluster, and they looked lost. If Mikel Arteta’s side put in a performance like that, every pundit in the country would be slating them for the next week. People need to start being honest. You look at Arsenal versus Atlético yesterday that was a proper Champions League semi-final. It had everything: intensity, quality, drama. It was the most entertaining match of the week by a mile. But because it's Arsenal, the goalposts always move. Now that the media’s favorites, PSG and Bayern, have put on a 1-1 aggregate snoozefest, is anyone calling it 'haram football'? Of course not. We all know the answer to that. It’s pure hypocrisy. Deep down, everyone knows this Arsenal team is one of the best in Europe right now. The only reason people pretend to hate the way they play is because their own teams aren't half as good as them. It’s time we start judging football on fairness and logic, not just because it’s popular to have a go at Arsenal”

🚨🎙️ Clarence Seedorf on the ‘celebration police’ going at Arsenal fans. 🗣️ “I find it strange, very strange, that people criticise Arsenal fans for celebrating a final. I’ve won this competition with AC Milan and Real Madrid. Let me tell you: reaching the final is not normal. It’s exceptional. If you cannot celebrate that, then you don’t understand football. At the highest level, emotion can be your strength or your weakness. Supporters should bring the emotion. The team must bring control. If Arsenal mix those two roles, they will have a problem. People who say ‘don’t celebrate’, I wonder if they have ever been in a Champions League final. Because if you have, you know how many top teams fail before that stage. Respect the journey. Then finish the job. People underestimate how hard it is to get there. Respect the moment, but don’t get comfortable in it. Celebrate, yes. Be satisfied? Never. That’s the difference at the top level.”

@Nirel01 Superbly put @Nirel01 - thanks for laying out so succinctly, what so many miserable, biased, Arsenal-haters cannot acknowledge. Arteta is a genius in the making, smashing records season-by-season. Cannot wait to see the trophies follow the hard work now. Let’s go! 🏆🔴⚪️

1. Arteta broke the Arsenal record for the most wins in a single season in two fewer games. He won 40 games in 58 matches. The old record was 39 wins in 60 matches. When Wenger did this he won two trophies. 2. Arteta broke the Arsenal record for the most goals scored in a single season. He did this two years ago. 3. Arteta is the English manager with the most win ratio in the Champions League history. In fact, the only people ahead of him in the list, are Bayern managers. Finish. 4. He has the longest unbeaten streak against the top 6 clubs in England (22 games). 5. Arteta has taken Arsenal to back-to-back UCL semifinals for the first time ever, and now in finals since 2006. For context, Wenger took Arsenal to two semifinals in 24 years. Pep took City to three Semifinals since he joined City. 6. Arteta has never finished a season in a lower position than the previous season. He’s the only manager in history to do this over six years. 7. He’s the fastest manager to reach 8 coach of the month awards in the league’s history. Arteta has broken many Arsenal records, and some other records. And yet, none of this means anything if he doesn’t win a major trophy with the club. This is why, regardless of how I feel about him, I need him to win a major trophy. This is what will cement his name amongst the greats. Arteta, please, drag your tired boys across the finish line. Claim these records with pride. Congratulations in advance to my gaffer.
