Every now and then you need to get in a room where you are out of your comfort zone and see what the next level of excellence looks, feels and acts like.
Super honored to be a part of @brandbuildrsgrp Personal Mastery Summit with people who are #1 in their respective spaces.
Rory, AJ Vaden and their team have been a part of our journey the last number of years. Grateful to call them friends!
This week play opens up to guests at Lakewood CC. Tee sheet is filled with lots of members bringing out guests to get their first look at our Keith Foster renovated Tilly. Perfect timing as the green fescue in these pics has changed color to a golden hue and looks incredible.

Took a walk around Lakewood CC this past wknd for the first time since December to see how the course held up through the winter. Everything looks good. We are ready for some spring sun and warmth to begin the growth season.
A big question I get is what was done to the Great Hazard on #6 which is now #15. It was completely redone. Moved about 15-20 yds forward so a lay up is a shorter shot. The left side was opened up and fairway expanded to allow for a bail out if you don’t take on the entire span. The hazard itself was sunken down about 3 ft to allow you to see it from the tee and fairway. It was also expanded diagonally to the right as that side is where you want to come in from on your third shot but you better make sure you can clear the top right of it. The last pic compliments of @jliebertgolf is the before version. I’d say the new version is pretty darn good.
Week 1 of construction in the books at Lakewood CC. Incredible how much work @TotalTurfGS and Keith Foster accomplished. Here’s a sneak peek at the before and after greenside bunker work and green expansions on what will be #10 green.
Bittersweet day at Lakewood CC. Played the last round on the course I’ve known for 40 yrs. Tomorrow it forever changes as the Keith Foster master plan gets underway. Yes, we’ve removed trees but the bones have been untouched as I’ve known it all these years. I thought last night, man it’d be cool to go under par for my last official round. Was fun to be able to do it. With an eagle no less. Thrilled for our membership, my fellow Board members, and all involved who helped make this project a reality. Here’s to new beginnings. Onward we go!
Emerging from Twitter hibernation to share a few shots from a shoot this week at @TheOldeFarm. Truly one of my favorite propoerties around. A huge shoutout to @jpdivot and his team!
