Tony Rossi, a right hander out of UNC Charlotte, became the regular closer for the 'Gades in the second half of the season, racking up 9 saves.
Rossi posted 52 Ks, a 2.63 ERA, .126 AVG and a 1.12 WHIP across 37 2/3 innings.

Charlotte RHP Tony Rossi might be the first 2024 draftee to make it to the big leagues. Already 24 years old but posted obscene stuff this spring. Up to 97, averaged 95+ with a 36% whiff% on the FB. Sweeper up to 86, averaged 83+ w/enormous two-plane. 68% whiff%(!!). ATHLETE.

The step back drill- Getting that feel into the back hip.
Deep tee drill- Can help staying behind the ball to get the barrel through the zone.
One hand drill- Direct to the ball, making sure your arms are in the correct bat path.

As you see in the video we are doing these two drills with the walk through and the wide open stance, it can help getting into your back hip and being able to hold that position as you go forward towards the ball.
