A parking-lot pole came out of nowhere and slammed into my friend’s 2-month-old Model Y 😭 It punched straight through her rear bumper… but here’s the actually cool part: On older Model Ys, this would’ve meant replacing the entire lower bumper. On the new Model Y? ➡️ Only the modular corner piece needs to be replaced. That means: • Less paint • Less labor • Less $$$? • And way less waste Honestly… kudos to Tesla for finally making bumper repairs modular instead of a full teardown. Small design change, big real-world impact.
