More and more I hear from accountants who work for “legacy firms” and they hate their job. Certain times of the year they just can’t take off. It’s not just Feb-Apr. it’s also Sep and Oct. No one wants a job that requires them to give up their life certain times of the year every year. If you own a firm that requires your employees to work long hours Feb - April, Sep and Oct, I want you to know there is a way to smooth out your workload so no one has to work overtime. And having a firm that doesn’t require OT attracts more talent. I believe that your team will make or break your firm, so create an environment to keep them happy.

@jpjaypatel0024 Are you in any of the accounting communities? Realize, The Collaboration Room, etc? I think networking in accounting/tax communities will help you find a firm that offers more of a work/life balance.
