I went to California and all I got was this lousy anterior discectomy. 😆 I have so much I want to say about the past 8 months but we can get to that later. For now, I just want to express my endless love and gratitude for every single soul that has helped me and cared for me during this difficult and really scary time. Pain and heartbreak are incredible teachers and the lessons I have learned from this will stay with me forever. I am so grateful to wake up from surgery already feeling better and I know I am coming out the other side of this so much stronger for the experience. Lots of love P x

Gary MacArthur gave 15 years to Sainsbury’s in West Wickham. He stayed late so female colleagues felt safer. 
Performed CPR on a security guard after a suspected stroke and saved their life. 
He even lost teeth previously after confronting a thief protecting his store. Then when an allegedly aggressive repeat Champagne shoplifter caused chaos again, Gary stepped in. Sainsbury’s sacked him for “gross misconduct”. I genuinely don’t believe someone should lose their livelihood for trying to do the right thing and caring about the place they work. Fine  give Gary MacArthur a warning. Tell him not to confront shoplifters again but to heartlessly SACK him after 15 years of service and destroy his life is cold and RUTHLESS and I would say bloody Unnecessary. Meanwhile the shoplifters keep coming back and even worse it’s like you’re sending an open invitation to come and steal. And honestly, this one hits personally for me. I worked in supermarkets myself for 25 years, so I know exactly the kind of pressure staff are under every single day. I was eventually sacked too  simply for speaking my mind and expressing my own personal opinions outside of work. So many decent hardworking people now feel completely disposable to these giant companies, they say their employees or Partners as some shops like to call them are more than just staff they are family ‘well bloody act like it’ and prove it, stand up for your people and don’t throw them to the wolves. Tell me honestly… Should Sainsbury’s give Gary MacArthur his job back?
