@gladiatorsats I can personally vouch for Glad. A legend in crypto, airdrop farming as well as outside of crypto.... Fantastic opportunity.

@gladiatorsats Completely agree. The fluff from watch guys around investments especially in rolexes is insane. Sure, they hold value and slightly better than money in the bank but still, not a good investment and a pain to sell unless you want a quick sell (-20% of what you paid at least)
English

by the time he ever gets round to selling them all, he will be lucky to get back the 900k with a lot more work involved.
I was in this position in 2021, put $1m into watches, worth $1.5m (i thought) and when it came to selling it, i was only able to scrape back $1.1m
Could of stabled up and earned 5-10% a year
Could of bought gold and it would be almost $2m
Watch advice almost always comes from newly rich guys who have no clue about the watch market that have been influenced by grey market watch dealers on instagram...
When it comes time to sell, good luck getting within 15% of the supposed price its selling for.
And just like a trade, you need to sell at peak euphoria or suffer 50% crashes on some items.
Then there is the illiquidity of the big pieces and the just nonsense investment advice around rolex etc, 2m pieces per year and it's sold as an investment piece haha, they're not even hand made!
dont listen to benny the jewler instead just invest in yourself, grow yourself, be a better man, forget the bracelets you dont need it lads, you need to be funny, smart, cool, that'll get you much more out of life than a bracelet, have a good day.
:)@smileycapital
throughout 2024-2025 I've spent ~$900k on watches the collection is now worth somewhere between $1.3-1.4M, not that I'm planning to sell if I held Bitcoin, it would be down to ~600k never hesitate to take profits and off-ramp when things are good you'll have 0 regrets.

I became a millionaire at age 20 and that really pissed me off.
Because as a teen I had told all my family and friends that I would hit that milestone in my teenage years.
Lemme set the stage.. age 14 (2014) I found crypto.
I invested my 3 figure capital (bday money)
Here I am almost 12 years later, with my whole life setup rather nicely courtesy of this industry.
Wife, kids, main house, property, cars, all paid in full. no debt, passive income to cover my monthly's
i fucking love this industry more than you can ever imagine, that's why i show up every single day, that's why i reiterate that we will be here forever.
I owe it to the space for what it has given to me.
don't take it for granted, for one day the landscape maybe entirely different. Find your edge, work on it, master it, and excel in whatever you are working on anon.
It seems to be a trait of crypto bro's to get obsessed with 1 aspect of Crypto, and not welcome the idea of new things. I say to be like water - go with the flow.
I have traded almost every single sector in crypto, may it be a flash in the pan trend for 5 days like Tron coins or the recent season, or month long up trends like NFT's or DeFi in 2020/2021
I have witnessed it all, it's a forever changing landscape and you should be able to adapt to that if you wish to survive here forever. Remember, the market is a game to transfer wealth from the impatient to the patient, but that does not mean your picks are right. If you make a bad investment it can always go down another 99% from where it is at.
- there is no such thing as a sure bet / safe play
- never use too much leverage that you can't handle
- never invest more than you can afford
- pay yourself / take profits
- build a life in the real world, not just crypto
- money won't change you, it'll amplify you
- we all get what we deserve but don't be deluded and think you will get only the good things.

I’m turning 41, but I don’t feel like celebrating.
Our generation is running out of time to save the free Internet built for us by our fathers.
What was once the promise of the free exchange of information is being turned into the ultimate tool of control.
Once-free countries are introducing dystopian measures such as digital IDs (UK), online age checks (Australia), and mass scanning of private messages (EU).
Germany is persecuting anyone who dares to criticize officials on the Internet. The UK is imprisoning thousands for their tweets. France is criminally investigating tech leaders who defend freedom and privacy.
A dark, dystopian world is approaching fast — while we’re asleep. Our generation risks going down in history as the last one that had freedoms — and allowed them to be taken away.
We’ve been fed a lie.
We’ve been made to believe that the greatest fight of our generation is to destroy everything our forefathers left us: tradition, privacy, sovereignty, the free market, and free speech.
By betraying the legacy of our ancestors, we’ve set ourselves on a path toward self-destruction — moral, intellectual, economic, and ultimately biological.
So no, I’m not going to celebrate today. I’m running out of time. WE are running out of time.
